JAMB cautions institutions against charging over N2000 for post-UTME screening

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has maintained that it is unlawful to incur directly or indirectly, further expenses on candidates in the name of administrative and bank charges.

Hence, the board has cautioned tertiary institutions against charging more than N2,000 for post- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening.

The warning was contained in the organisation’s guidelines for the 2020 admission process released on Sunday, 18 Jul, 2020 in Abuja.

JAMB warned heads of institutions of higher learning in the country to ensure total compliance, noting that: “Sanctions will be applied to institutions that violate the rules.”
