NYSC members to be paid new minimum wage

Minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare, has said members of the National Youth Service Corps will benefit from the new minimum wage of N30,000.

Dare disclosed this in a Tweet on Wednesday;

“Next week the DG NYSC will provide details of the new allowee for the Youth Corp members after a full briefing from the Ministries of Finance And MYSD,”

Meanwhile, NYSC members are currently being paid N19,800 monthly as allowance by the federal government

Recently, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo gave an order that the minimum wage should be paid from April as that was when it was approved.
