The Government of Niger state has issued a notice, directing the closure of schools both Public and Private Schools as well as Tertiary Institutions within the State for 30 days from March 23.
The Government noted that this measure is part of the efforts to check the spread of the coronavirus disease.
Speaking on this, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Matane, in a statement on Thursday in Minna, said by the directive, all public gatherings in the state had also been suspended by the State Government.
This he stated was to commence with immediate effect as the closure of Public and Private Schools as well as Tertiary Institutions will commence on March 23.
